Happy New Year 2012!

Bye bye 2011, Hello 2012! ^_^

We were at church to usher in the new year at 12 midnight. Jaden was great, he was awake the whole time and was running around making lots of noise. Imagine the stares we received inside the hall :p

Then 2012 arrives and the whole church cheered, clapped and sang! I am so glad I get to do this amongst God's people every year, and get to hug my husband and son the moment the clock strikes 12.

Hmm, actually I think I didn't hug them first, I took this picture first so I could post it up on my Facebook, haha

1st January 2012 falls on a Sunday and we decided to head to Bangsar Village II for brunch. We went to this restaurant called Canoodling because my husband likes their Pan Mee. But this time round, their food sux... really... But thank God for the mahjong paper they delierately put on the table for the customers to doodle on it, so Jaden kept himself busy befor the food arrived.

This is a picture of Jaden feeding me... sweeeeet :)

Then we went for a little window shopping at Borders.

Jaden enjoying himself lego'ing.

A picture taken outside Borders.

Since the lunch wasn't that good, we still have room for desserts. We headed over to Marmalade and ordered Carrot Cake and Banana Toffee Cheesecake. The cakes are yuuuummmyyy.

At night, we went to Fat Spoon at Damansara Utama for dinner. I ordered Loh Shi Fun for myself and Fat Spoon Noodles for Jaden, Jason ordered Ulam Fried Rice. They are all good, much better than our lunch :)

This is the cheeky boy plugging his ears with his fingers, and for some reason he finds this extremely funny. And when he laughs, all of us laughed too.

He first did this when I brought him to 1Utama for my christmas shopping, while having lunch at Food Replubica.

Sooooo cheeky, I wonder who taught him to smile like that :p

So, that was how we spent our New Year's Day :)

To end this post, let me share with you some funny New Year wishes I found from here.

1. May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastro-endocrinologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your psychiatrist, your gynecologist, your plumber and the IRS.

2. May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs and your stocks not fall; and may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise.

3. May you find a way to travel from anywhere to anywhere in the rush hour in less than an hour, and when you get there may you find a parking space. (Don't we all love this ^_^)

4. May you wake up on January 1st, finding that the world has not come to an end, the lights work, the water faucets flow, and the sky has not fallen.

5. May you ponder how did this ultramodern civilization of ours manage to get itself traumatized by a possible slip of a blip on a chip made out of sand.

6. May what you see in the mirror delight you, and what others see in you delight them.

7. May someone love you enough to forgive your faults, be blind to your blemishes, and tell the world about your virtues.

8. May the telemarketers wait to make their sales calls until you finish dinner, and may your check book and your budget balance and may they include generous amounts for charity.

9. May you remember to say "I love you" at least once a day to your spouse, your child, your parents, your friends; but not to your secretary, your nurse, your masseuse, your hairdresser or your tennis instructor.

Last but not least:

10. May we live as God intended, in a world at peace and the awareness of His love in every sunset, every flower's unfolding petals, every baby's smile, every lover's kiss, and every wonderful, astonishing, miraculous beat of our heart.

A Very Happy New Year to All!
