We brought Jaden to the clinic on Tuesday evening to let the Doctor check on him. It started on Monday morning when he woke up with a few coughs, but it didn't sound very serious. Tuesday morning was the same, he woke up with a few coughs, but I can hear the "phelgm" in his throat as he coughs and I don't feel comfortable about that. I always believe 病从浅中医 (treat the sickness when it's not serious), I do not want the cough to develop into something more serious before we bring him to the Doctor.
Doctor precribed him with a orange syrup for cold. My little boy is a champion this time round when it comes to swallowing his medicine. He didn't like it when I first inject the medicine into his mouth (using a syringe), and almost feel like vomitting, but he still took it all in and didn't cry at all! I am so proud of my little boy :)
Tuesday night was a looooong night because he didn't sleep well and woke up 3 to 4 times, coughing :( Hubby carried him to our bed in the middle of the night and he was sleeping with us till morning. I woke up few times when he coughs and just look at him... my poor baby, how I wish I can remove the cough completely from him.
Yesterday & today I boiled Barley water and passed it to the babysitter, the Doctor said barley would help as Jaden's throat is a little red, and he should be drinking more water.
Last night I noticed he started having running nose, this is the 2nd time in 8 months he is down with cold. The first time he had running nose and cough was when he was 6 months old. It took him 1 week plus to heal from the cold, I hope this time it would be the same, or even shorter than a week, the faster the better, because I feel my energy being zapped away from me everytime I hear him cough :( Mummy doesn't want to see you sick baby...
Thank God last night he managed to sleep through the night, I only heard him cough once in the middle of the night, and this is great compared to Tuesday night. I hope he will feel much better today and he will be free from this very very soon!
