Jaden is Ah Mah & Ah Gong's toy

Yesterday my in laws came from Kuantan to stay 1 night with us. As usual, when they see Jaden, they showered him with lots of hugs and kisses :-)

I didn't send Jaden to the babysitter yesterday because my MIL wants to take care of him instead. So me and hubby went to work as usual and Jaden stayed home to entertain his grandparents.

And entertained them he did!! Look what my FIL put on his head & how funny he look:

1st impression: he looks like a park ranger

2nd impression: he looks like a tortoise, hahaha.

"Sitting pretty"

Yesterday when I pick Jaden up from the babysitter's, he was sitting on a shocking pink kiddy stool with Kakak Nory (babysitter's Filipino maid) holding him from the back.

I find it very amusing because my son rocks a mohawk hairstyle and was sitting on this pink stool.

Me: Jaaaddeeenn, what are you doing there?
Kakak: Sitting pretty mummy
Me: But this is a girl's chair
Kakak: Yes, for Queens & Princesses :-)

Mummy fell off her chair......

Kakak, please don't turn my boy into a girl ok?

Carrot puree, yuummm...

Jaden has been taking rice cereal at home during weekends and porridge at the babysitter's during weekdays. I made carrot puree for him recently, & this is a video of him enjoying his food.

You can tell how satisfied he was, holding his feet with his 2 hands, kicking his feet and grinning at me :-)

Jaden, promise mummy you will still love your vege when you grow up, k? *wink*

Pulling himself up is easy-peasy

I first blogged about Jaden learning to pull himself up inside his cot on 10 Sept (on Hari Raya Puasa). He was not very good at it then and was super careful & slow when he tries to stand up. Now, 2 weeks down the road, he is standing up like a pro. The moment I put him inside his cot, he will crawl towards his piano and starts pulling himself up. And when he is up, he will move slowly towards the other side of the cot and tries to pull out the knob (to open the door of the cot). Thank God you have to pull out both knobs at 2 extreme ends simultaneously to open the door, if not, he will probably let himself out very soon!

This is a video taken on 19 Sept, as me and hubby watched in total amusement how the little boy moves closer to the rail to stand up steadily. You will notice at first he was standing further away from the edge, then he slowly put his hand down to adjust his steps to get closer to the rails so he could stand up more steadily.

This is another video taken on 21 Sept, when my sister came over to visit Jaden. He shows off big time by standing up more than 5 minutes. He is very good at standing up but still clumsy at sitting down from standing. He will just let go of his hands abruptly and plong his buttocks on the mattress like a big potato, lol. Too bad I didn't manage to capture it on video, because I have to stop recording everytime after he has been standing too long to make him sit down. I hope you can imagine him doing that.

Last night as he was trying to pull out the knob, he noticed the teddy bear which is hung facing outward and he managed to put his hand through the rail and reach for the teddy bear.

*Playing with the knob*

*Reaching for the teddy bear, with full concentration*

This morning while I was still sleeping, I heard him calling for me from the cot (yes, he can call me with "uh... uh.. uh"), and when I open my eyes, I see him standing up at the piano side. I think very soon we have to lower the mattress to the lowest level and remove the piano so he won't be able to step on it and climb out from the cot. I am sure at the rate he is going, he will learn to step on the piano very soon.

Trying to escape from the carseat

One day, as usual I was driving Jaden to the babysitter's on my way to work, then I heard him making lots of noise. As I stopped the car at the traffic lights, I turned to the back and saw him trying to escape from the carseat.

When I arrived at the babysitter's house, I took photos of him in action:

"Mummy, I know you are there, get me out please"

"Mummy, pleasseee..."

"I don't want to sit here mummy..."

"hmmm, this belt is holding me back, let me try to get rid of it"

Sometimes he still tries to escape from the carseat, but I guess he figured out there is no point trying too hard, and it's very tiring for his stomach muscles, so he just sits back and falls asleep while listening to me singing the same old songs everyday :)

Jaden's new stunt

Last Friday was Hari Raya Puasa, so I get to stay home with my 2 boys, hooray!! I was hanging out with Jaden in our bedroom and watching him play in his cot, then I noticed him holding on to the rail of the cot and tried standing up.

When I asked him what was he doing, he turned around & smiled cheekily at me.

1st Attempt: failed.. fell down on the mattress and relax..

Since he is lying so comfortably on the mattress, I made him pose for me :D

ok, enough posing, heregoes his 2nd attempt to stand up:

oops...

and there goes humpty dumpty on to the mattress again

He didn't get it right the first two attempts, but the 3rd attempt is finally a successful one.

Slow and steady..

Holding on tightly to the rail..

THADA!!!

My boy can stand!! awww... mummy is so proud of you Jaden, muaks x3!
